For those buyers who are concerned about buying a “New House” because they don’t want to pay thousands of dollars in tax, I have GREAT NEWS! You DO NOT PAY HST on used homes in British Columbia! That’s right, HST rules follow the previous GST rules and that means no purchase tax on Used homes. HST does apply to any service fees! 5 year term at 3.69% with a 35 year amortization..you have payments of $621.36 per month!
